Back to the Basics

Billy finished up all his packing and headed off today, so now its back to just us Lakmors (and the new bunny.)  While I miss the added human contact a bit, its nice to able to wander the house without first searching frantically for a robe.  Now I just need to let the room air out a little and then I can get my art lab/office up and running once more.  With no room to keep things in, we'd opted for me to just take a vacation from the art world while we had company, but now especially with our permanent house guest its important we get all the stuff put away into a room with a door, just in case.

We still arent sure what we'd like to call him, but Bunny seems to be doing well.  He's terribly tempted to come out and see what I'm up to as I go from room to room with chores but hasnt quite decided if it's safe to leave yet.  He didnt spook too badly as I walked into his cage to do the basic upkeep, but made sure to stay back out of reach.  I'm not sure I'll ever get a snuggle buddy out of him, but then if I had wanted that I could have got a lop eared doll instead.

We've already set into a habit with his "snacks" so that when I finish cleaning first thing in the morning he gets his first 1/4 cup of pellets, and when I take lunch at 10 or 11 he gets some fresh greens, which has encouraged me to eat more of the veggies myself as well.  Then in the later afternoon when the Hubby is getting his first meal of the day, we give Bunny the other half of his pellets, and of course that big bin of Timothy stays there all day, so he's never at a loss for food.

As silly and as sad as it may seem, it's only been a little over a day, and I already can't imagine my life without the skiddish little floofball.  We may not be bestest buddies yet, but I can tell he's going to be exactly what I was missing in my life.
